The Japanese Language & Education Culture Centre (JLECC) reached a significant milestone in its mission to bridge Himalayan and Japanese cultures with the grand inauguration of its new Building Annex 3 in Kumaripati on Friday, January 23.

The ceremony was marked by the presence of a distinguished high-level delegation from Japan, who traveled specifically to witness the expansion of one of Nepal’s premier language institutions. Their attendance underscored the strengthening diplomatic and educational ties between the two nations. The new facility is designed to accommodate the growing demand for Japanese language proficiency and vocational training among Nepali students.

The atmosphere was a vibrant blend of tradition and modernity. The building was elegantly decorated with thousands of colorful origami cranes handcrafted by students, symbolizing peace and longevity. Attendees were treated to a cultural showcase featuring traditional Japanese folk songs and energetic Nepali dances, celebrating the “Sino-Japanese-Nepali” spirit of cooperation.

During the keynote address, the Japanese delegates commended JLECC for its decade-long dedication to quality education. This new annex provides upgraded classrooms and a dedicated cultural resource center, ensuring that JLECC remains at the forefront of preparing Nepali youth for successful futures in Japan.
