It brings me great pride and gratitude to reflect on the journey of JLECC since its establishment in 2001. What began as a vision to promote Japanese language education in Nepal has grown into a comprehensive training center that prepares students not only for study in Japan, but also for meaningful careers and long-term success.
Over the past 25 years, our mission has remained the same — to provide high-quality, goal-oriented Japanese language education while nurturing discipline, cultural understanding, and global competence. Having lived and studied in Japan myself, I understand both the opportunities and challenges our students face. This personal experience continues to guide the foundation and direction of JLECC.
Today, JLECC stands as one of Nepal’s leading Japanese language institutions. With our qualified instructors, including experienced Japanese teachers, and a strong administrative team, we provide structured courses from N5 to N3, along with specialized preparation for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program. Our newly established campus in 2026 further strengthens our commitment to long-term training and professional development for students aiming to work in Japan.
Beyond language instruction, I strongly believe that true preparation for Japan requires cultural readiness and practical life skills. Therefore, we emphasize punctuality, discipline, workplace ethics, daily life guidance, and Japanese manners. Our students are trained not only to pass examinations but to adapt confidently to Japanese society. In addition, we offer comprehensive support ranging from recruitment, training, and job matching to visa guidance and post-arrival follow-up and further guidance.
Since our founding, we have proudly sent over 4,000 students to Japan, introduced numerous Specified Skilled Workers, and built partnerships with more than 40 institutions across Japan. Our students’ achievements in national and international competitions reflect not only their language ability but also their dedication and confidence.
At JLECC, we have always believed that we are not simply teaching a language — we are shaping futures. Our commitment is to continue building an institution that values integrity, professionalism, and development, while creating opportunities for young people to build prosperous and dignified lives.
I warmly welcome you to be part of the JLECC family and to take the first step toward your future in Japan. – Aruna Shakya
